One my goals this year is to become more proficient with artificial lighting. On Saturday I took a step in the right direction when I went to a studio lighting workshop.
It was through MVP Workshops (Metro Vancouver Photography Workshops).
In all there were 15 photographers, 5 models, the organizer (Chris Pike), his assistants and some hair and makeup artists. It ran for 4 hours and it was a really enjoyable and informative experience. We split into groups and each of us had lots of time to shoot and experiment with lighting at the various stations and with the different models.
To anyone in the Vancouver area, I recommend checking out one of Chris' meetups/workshops (linked above). It was very professional and well done.
