Big Thunder Mountain

Burnsland (Steve Burns) has added a photo to the pool:

Big Thunder Mountain

I am always impressed by how real Big Thunder Mountain in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom looks. It is often hard to believe that it is just made of steel and concrete instead of having been there for hundreds of years being worn by the weather. But of course, there isn't a desert in Florida. How could there be with all that rain?

About the shot:
I wonder if I may have overdone it just a bit with this shot. Maybe the colors are just a bit too bold. I will stick with it like it is, though, because this way it really jumps out at you. Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix, edited in PaintShop Pro.

Be sure to see Part 4 of our Christmas trip to Walt Disney World, which focuses on the Magic Kingdom, at the Burnsland Blog.
