No HDR here whatsoever, I used a grad ND to bring the exposure of the clouds down and soften the waves. This was how saturated the scene appeared when I shot it. Although you can't see the sun ( it was behind the camera), you can see the colours in the sky that the sunrise brings along :)

Used a 0.9 Lee Hard Edge Grad ND to bring exposure down. Processed in CS5
