Evansville Courthouse

Jess of Many Trades has added a photo to the pool:

Spiritual Structures ( spiritualstructures.com/) going great, but everyone once and awhile I need a break from worship spaces.

Yesterday, I found a refreshing little surprise in (what seems an endless) stack of architectural books--a little blue book about our courthouse!

The book is filled with posterity photographs contributed by members of the Fine Arts Camera Club. There are also short captions about the baroque details. The book was published in 1972.

I decided to re-experience Evansville today and went on a tour with blue book in hand!
Thankfully, the sheriff was there and was more than happy to tour the interior with me. Really made my Saturday.

THIS would be a great project for the Evansville Flickr group to do...anyone interested?
