The Red Panda (Ailurus fulgens), a small aboreal mammal, native to the Himalayas and Southwestern China. It is the only species of the genus Ailurus.
It feeds mainly on Bamboo but is omnivorous and will eat insects, birds eggs and small mammals.
It is classified as a vulnerable species, fewer than 10,000 exist in the wild.
