I took this in Crozet. These tracks are part of the CSX line and are shared by Buckingham Branch Railroad. Amtrak uses them as well. There used to be switch control for these tracks in the Crozet Library, which years ago was a train station. The town is named after Claudius Crozet, the man who engineered and dug the Blue Ridge tunnel for rail passage. At the time it was the longest tunnel in the country and ranked with the longest in the world. This was quite a while before dynamite was used for such an operation.
