Camellia Sesanqua

gingerkillercat has added a photo to the pool:

Camellia Sesanqua

A camellia sesanqua photographed from my Juliet balcony on 21st April 2012. The sesanquas are so large & established that they reach as high as the (upstairs) balcony. They are currently a mass of flowers - all pink & white, just like this one. The birds come for the nectar throughout the day, with the noisy rainbow lorikeets deciding to come at about 6.00am - oh joy. From the balcony I can see an ocean of flowering sesanquas and beyond them are the tall liquidambars, the leaves of which are now turning a rich variety of autumn colours.
