A Laughing Gull in flight. Taken from aboard the Bolivar Free Ferry that connects Galveston to the Bollivar Peninsula. This gull is named for the laughing noise that it never tires of making. These birds will roost in times of low pressure, which is often indicative of an oncoming storm.
