I'm usually terrible at self portraits but i got lucky with the lighting and stuff this time...
I think self-portraits can be seen as a vain thing to do but thinking back to old times where composers and famous monarchs would have themselves painted it seems much more dignified...
On a side note I'd love to have an old 1920s style painting portrait of myself.. maybe with like a crown and a cape... maybe someday when I'm rich and living in a mansion! hah
