Shotwick, Diocese of Chester. St. Michael and All Angels (C of E), A church was noted to be at Shotwick in the Domesday Book. This ancient parish church is Grade I listed. The Ashlar red sandstone tower is late perpendicular in style
Henry II left from Shotwick for Ireland and Edward I used the port to leave for Wales in 1278
