This is Ireland's most recently-discovered butterfly. It was first thought to be the very similar Wood White, then found to be different and believed be Réal's Wood White. Further analysis resulted in the Réal's Wood White species being spilt, and our one is now called Cryptic Wood White. In the British Isles it is only found in Ireland and is quite widespread, when the weather allows.
It's great to have my Sigma macro lens back, so a big thanks to the Sigma Service guys for a great service. Unfortunately it arrived just too late for Mallorca, so I was still making do with extension tubes. I took these when testing it, all seems to ok.
Thanks for all the comments
