brings back memories of my 2 Shoomis'(grandfather's). Both were filled with wisdom and taught my parents to adapt and learn the ways of the white man and not depend on the hand-outs from the Band(Reserve). For this we were laughed and made fun of but in time we prospered and broken the cycle of abuse the plaqued our people. The Residential School system, 60's scoop had brought mass destruction to all Natives. We are still fighting for equal rights, most First Nation communities live under 3rd World conditions.
