mixed alternative has added a photo to the pool:
xian, shaanxi, china
two men: friends, co-workers, or strangers? chatting, negotiating, or merely glancing? parting ways or meeting to carpool (bike-pool)? a daily occurrence or a random interaction?
i'm growing fond of street photography, but of course after the post-processing is done, there's still a sense of unresolved business. who are the people i'm taking pictures of, really? what are their stories? is the moment i captured something habitual or sporadic; is it an accurate representation of "street photography" or are wrong implications forced upon my photos simply based on my eye's bias?
i could stop and ask them, theoretically...but then something else is lost in pose. perhaps there's never a happy medium, but perhaps that truth is the happy medium in itself?
guess we'll never know for sure:)
