Commissioned shot for local footy team. Wanted to do something very commercial despite them only being a local team, so here we are. Background is a stock cloud image and the two players are shot separately but careful not to fire the right rim light for the left player, and the left rim light for the right player to try and make it look a convincing composite. Challenge also was to match lighting levels in post, when the skin tones and jersey's reflected the light differently.
Processing included mask, dodge and burn, blur, detail enhance, etc. Maybe nothing new or special regarding my skills, but under pressure now to produce these under a specific commercial brief rather than any random self indulgent image with no specific output other than what I want!
All lighting is Lencarta Elitepro 600W fired using RF602 triggers. Gridded softboxes at about 2 and 10 o clock, with a 40cm beauty dish at 7 o clock and high above camera. Canon 5D Mkii with 24-70 F2.8L. Triggered with radio thingies.
