Horseshoe Bend Evening

Here's another tip. If you're planning on visiting the bend at sunset, on the last night of your holiday, directly after consuming an enormous dinner at the Dam Bar and Grill, remember that there's a sodding long walk from the car park to the bend. A walk which is not best negotiated with a stomach full of burger, fries and jalapeno peppers. Especially not if you've miscalculated your timing and end up slip-sliding your way down in a frantic effort to get there before the sun finally disappears. Those colourful rocks very nearly gained a splash of extra colour on my arrival, although fortunately I managed to avoid throwing up for long enough to get the tripod out and fire off a few shots at the last remnants of the sunset.
