My first attempt at Star Trails. I tried a couple different ways on the night. The first was a series of 30 second exposures all blended together. But i wasn't happy with the foreground, it looked very soft and distracting. In that version though, the stars were really vibrant and stronger than this one. This is a 10 and a half minute single exposure. I prefer the sharpness in the church and foreground much better here, and although i think the stars could be stronger, i am happy with the overall image. The Milky Way is still visable in the centre of the shot.
This will be my final upload from this trip to NZ. Can't wait to get back over there, it's an incredible part of the world ........... shhhhhhhhhhhh , don't tell the Kiwis that though :-)
