Joel's Goa Pics has added a photo to the pool:
"Pitcher plants are carnivorous plants whose prey-trapping mechanism features a deep cavity filled with liquid known as a pitfall trap. It has been widely assumed that the various sorts of pitfall trap evolved from rolled leaves, with selection pressure favouring more deeply cupped leaves over evolutionary time." (Wikipedia)
A pitcher plant, with its unusually looking flowers, was on sale at the 3-day annual Festival of Plants & Flowers organised by the Green Heritage Eco Club of SFX Higher Secondary School in Siolim, Goa (Aug 25-27, 2012).
