This old Cypriot was sitting at his house door way, looking out at the small street and village square, at times leaning on the door lintel, at times resting his eyes and at times just staring into the air.
I had to photograph him. He happily accepted.
After several attempts, I was finally happy, thanked him and was about to leave as asked me to wait, got in the house, and brought out a bowl of fresh, honey sweet plums.
He wouldn't let me go until I tool at least two.
Such is the warm hospitality of almost every Cypriot my wife and I met there.
