The National Library of Tajikistan has nine floors and can hold 10 million books. It has 25 reading halls, 10 conference halls, and a canteen and a cafe that seat 560 and 215 respectively. Last year the government required all students and teachers to each give the library a book. Unsurprisingly, many of the books given were titles such as "The Life of Lenin", which nobody cares for these days. Photo taken on August 28, 2012.
