I have to admit. It's true. I don't know if I can go a day without either. When things are at their best, the two are usually combined. A nice small compact camera setup, a nice fresh cup of coffee and a long walk is the closest thing to perfection I can think of.
As for today, things didn't go as perfectly as I'd have hoped. The region I live in completely screws up watching anything remotely entertaining on NFL Sundays. The Colts and Bengals games...great. Even though I'm from Indiana, I HATE the Colts. To top it all off. When it looked like they were doomed to lose miserably at home, they pull off a late win. THEN, the wife went to work :(
Anyway. I was torn between a coffee shot and a camera shot since I wasn't really enthusiastic about leaving the house tonight. The compromise was simple a that point. I also worked in a second flash head for tonight's shot. OH, and I ordered a new set of strobe triggers. My cactus are officially dead so I'm reduced to using my ST-E2, which never worked like I'd hoped.
Instead of describing my shot tonight, I went back to the days of showing you instead. Hopefully, I'll have the frame of mind to include these going forward. I always hope to, but it seems I never think of you internet people when I'm out and about. It's nothing personal though, I swear ;)
